On the 6th of June 2025, Italcham Malaysia, in collaboration with its esteemed platinum member Luther Malaysia, hosted an insightful breakfast seminar on Malaysia’s updated Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) at Luther’s office.
The event gathered around 20 chamber members and legal professionals for a focused session on the 2024 PDPA reforms, including newly introduced requirements such as the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO), mandatory data breach notifications, and cross-border data transfer regulations.
Guests enjoyed a light breakfast while engaging in lively discussion and Q&A, gaining practical insights into the implications of the PDPA updates for businesses operating in Malaysia.
