Italcham Malaysia had the pleasure of attending World Vespa Day 2024! The 78th anniversary of Vespa was marked with a grand celebration at Vespa Day on 29th June 2024, held at The Landing KL in Sungai Besi. This exciting event gathered Vespa enthusiasts, collectors, and the general public for a day filled with camaraderie and excitement.

Event Highlights:

Vespa Parade and Displays: The streets of Kuala Lumpur came alive with 2,000 Vespas cruising from The Landing KL to Dataran Merdeka, showcasing models from classic vintages to the latest innovations. Attendees were awestruck by a collection of vintage Vespas, spanning from 1958 to contemporary limited-edition versions, highlighting Vespa’s timeless appeal. The event also featured a complete range of modern Vespas, including the new Vespa Sprint & Primavera 2024, blending timeless design with cutting-edge technology.

Entertainment and Food: The festive atmosphere was enhanced by live performances from local bands and entertainers, adding vibrancy to the day. Attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious food and drinks from local vendors, fostering the community spirit that Vespa Day embodies. The event proved to be a perfect family outing, with activities and entertainment for all ages, including coloring, painting, and interactive games for children.

Special Guests and Tribute: Mr. Simone Niccolai, Managing Director of Piaggio Asia Pacific, along with partners from various countries, graced the event, sharing their passion for the iconic scooter. Vespa Day was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary scooter and the vibrant community it has inspired worldwide. Since its inception in 1946, Vespa has symbolized Italian style, innovation, and freedom, and Vespa Day is dedicated to celebrating this rich heritage and culture.
